Global heavy industry leader is looking for a Certified Paramedic for a large industrial site. The ideal candidate will support the Fire & Security Services department by providing emergency medical services for a 24/7 steel mill. There is an onsite fire station and an onsite Nurse during daytime hours. You must be willing to get your Firefighter I and II certification after you are hired.
This position is in the greater Mobile, AL area. Relocation assistance is provided.
Responsibilities:
- Provides emergency services
- Drives and operates emergency response vehicles
- Selects proper firefighting tools and equipment to control and extinguish fires
- Performs search and rescue operations
- Utilizes appropriate safety equipment to mitigate hazardous materials incidents
- Performs extrication operations as needed
- Performs inspections and preventive maintenance on fire suppression systems
- Responsible for delivering training sessions as assigned by the training division/captain
- Perform various security activities throughout the plant
- Fulfills the commitment to ensure a safe and healthy work environment
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED Certificate
- Active/valid/current Driver’s License
- Current Nationally Registered or State of Alabama EMT-Paramedic certification
- Comfortable with tablet and interactive app use
- Familiar with Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Excel, Teams, Word, PowerPoint)
- Must be willing and able to obtain Fire Fighter I / II after employment
- Certified as a Technician in the following is desired:
- Hazardous Materials
- High Angle/Rope Rescue
- Confined Space
- Structural Collapse
- Trench Rescue
