Job DescriptionJob Description

 

MTS Training Academy is seeking a Full-Time Class A or Class B licensed classroom instructor to conduct training classes to prepare new drivers for their commercial driver’s license. In this role, you will conduct a bi-weekly class consisting of the Federal Motor Carriers Safety Administration’s (FMCSA) AND Department of Motor Vehicle training materials needed to complete the theory and permit requirements for CDL applicants.

Primary Duties

·         Conducts CDL and Federal Motor Carriers Safety Administration (FMCSA) classroom training sessions utilizing a variety of teaching aides including Power Point, video, written diagrams, teaching props, etc.

·         Maintains required records and written reports on all training activities.

·         Completes training assignments within a specified period.

·         Encourages and monitors the progress of individual students.

·         Attends safety meetings as required.

·         Ability to plan, develop and implement the necessary curriculum.

·         Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of people from various backgrounds.
