Class A Truck Driver Job Summary

We are seeking a dependable and organized Class A truck driver who possesses a great deal of physical and mental stamina who thrives working long hours on the road and can consistently ensure safe and accurate deliveries. Must be detail-oriented, efficient, and have a clean driving record.

Class A Truck Driver Duties and Responsibilities

  • Hauling material on State and Federal run highway projects with belly dump and/or end dump trailer.
  • Safely operate, maneuver, and navigate commercial vehicle on paved highways and dirt haul roads.
  • Ensures that all traffic laws, safety, compliance and DOT requirements are always followed.
  • Perform inspections of your vehicle prior to and following each trip daily.
  • Ensure material is properly secured inside of the trailer to prevent loss or damage.
  • Notify managers of any major maintenance or delivery issues encountered.
  • Notify technicians when maintenance needs to be completed and equipment serviced.
  • Perform minor maintenance on tractor and trailer rigs.
  • Completing and sending maintenance logs.
  • Always ensure your vehicle is kept clean.
  • Maintains radio or telephone contact with supervisor to receive instructions.
  • Maintain detailed driving logs and Makin' It Move Transport, LLC tickets.
  • Track and report working hours.
  • Adhere to company rules and regulations.
  • Make safety a priority at all times.

Class A Truck Driver Requirements and Qualifications

  • Valid Class A driver's license required.
  • 4+ years proven experience with belly dump/end dump required.
  • Clean driving record with no moving violations.
  • Must pass a background check and/or drug screen.
  • Comfortable maneuvering, parking and backing up a tractor with trailer.
  • Able to perform physical tasks for the entire assigned work shift.
  • Physically and mentally fit.
  • Must be willing to travel 100%, as jobs will be located in different cities in Texas and New Mexico.
  • Disciplined, dependable, and resourceful.
  • High level of composure and good stress management.

Pay: $23.00+ per hour depending on experience. Inquire at interview. One week hold on first check.

90 day probation period.
