Job description

  • Full-time Class A CDL driver

  • Operate tractor-trailer combinations to transport a variety of freight to their intended destinations.

  • Communicate with dispatchers and customers to coordinate deliveries.

  • Average take home pay range $1,000-$2,500+ per week.

  • Driver will receive 1099 for tax purposes

  • Payout is 50% of gross revenue less fuel

  • Intrastate Commerce only

  • Local port and short hauls

  • Home daily / no over-nights

  • Comply with DOT/FMCSA regulations

  • Perform pre and post trip inspections on company vehicles, inform management of safety concerns or vehicle problems.

  • Ensure cleanliness and functionality of all company equipment.

Job Qualifications

  • CDL Class A

  • Manual transmission is a MUST

  • Must have TWIC card

  • MUST have 2 years minimum of experience operating/driving, port experience preferred.

  • Maintain DOT medical certification and CDL

  • Must obtain a negative drug screen result prior to hire and maintain throughout term of employment

  • Must be 21 years of age or older

  • Must live in the Charleston area (50 miles)

  • No at fault accidents, careless/reckless offenses, or 2+ moving violations within the past 4 years.

  • No DUI's or DWI's in the last 15 years.

  • No rollovers, overturns, or jackknife accidents.
