We are currently hiring a Maintenance Machinist to join our team. As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting industrial machines in a warehouse setting. This position is temp-to-hire with room for growth and learning, willing to train the right candidate with preventative machine maintenance experience.

Job Title: Industrial Maintenance Mechanic

Shift: 7:00 am to 3:30 pm

Schedule: Monday to Friday ** Weekend's Off**

Pay rate: $22.00 to $28.00/hour Depending on experience

Job Requirements

  • Performs maintenance functions making repairs in electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic breakdowns under minimal guidance from the maintenance supervisor
  • Troubleshoot and perform maintenance duties such as mechanical and electrical repairs
  • Under the guidance of the service engineer, works from service manuals, maintenance manuals, and facility equipment schematics
  • Must be able to operate all maintenance equipment and exercise all construction equipment safely for the intended purpose
  • Assist the supervisor in developing and implementing a preventative maintenance program
  • Work closely with the Maintenance Supervisor to ensure compliance with governmental regulations and company policies
  • Complete, on-time, delivery of maintenance services to ensure compliance with company standards for cost control, quality, safety, efficiency, and equipment reliability are achieved
  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on equipment, machinery, and components as scheduled
  • Maintains function and reliability of facility systems and associated equipment by performing preventive maintenance
  • Frequent standing, walking, lifting/carrying 25 pounds or less
  • Occasional lifting/carrying 50 pounds or more
  • Frequent squatting, bending, pushing and pulling with arms, twisting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crawling, reaching, and grasping
  • Occasional pushing and pulling with body and overhead work
  • Continuous use of peripheral vision, depth perception, and close vision
  • The position requires constant presence in production, machine shop, and compounding areas

Qualifications

  • Moderate exposure to noise
  • Eye protection and safety shoes are required
  • Must have a one-year certificate from college or technical school or a minimum of 1 to 2 years of related experience
  • Must have knowledge of and experience with using shop and hand tools
  • Must be able to count, add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
