**SIGN-ON BONUS COMPENSATORY WITH EXPERIENCE**

Summary: Responsible for the timely completion of assigned repair, warranty and preventive maintenance service on automobiles by performing the following duties.

 

Duties and Responsibilities include the following.

 

1. Reviews service orders and inspects vehicles accordingly for additional repairs or malfunctions by test driving or troubleshooting vehicle operation.*

 

2. Applies technical knowledge to diagnose cause of vehicle malfunctions.*

 

3. Obtains final approval prior to performing additional repairs.*

 

4. Responds to repair inquiries in a prompt manner.*

 

5. Performs repairs and maintenance service work requested in accordance with approved quality and efficiency standards.*

 

6. Responsible for entering customer and service information on computer in an accurate manner.*

 

7. Maintains neat and clean work areas at all times to include ensuring tools are clean and placed in designated areas.*

 

8. Responsible for wearing personal protective equipment in accordance with training and safety procedures.*

 

9. Retains and tags removed parts under warranty for return to manufacturer.*

 

10. Responsible for test-drives and assures proper operation of all vehicles in accordance with Department of Motor Vehicle standards.*

 

11. Completes vehicle inspections according to established procedures.*

 

12. Completes service related paperwork in detail and legible format.*

 

13. Discards residual waste or hazardous materials using the proper disposal methods.*

 

14. Communicates with customers in a professional manner.*

 

15. Performs other duties as needed.

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Language Ability:

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

 

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

 

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of order processing systems.

 

Education/Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Certificates and Licenses:

· Valid driver's license with wrecker endorsement

· ASE certification (preferred and we will support you in training/testing to receive)

· New York State inspection license

· TPMS Sensor

· Creeper

· Pneumatic and hand tools

· Brake lathes

· Tire mounting, balancing, and alignment machines

· Pressure washer

· Hydraulic jacks

· Welding equipment

· Vehicle lifts

· Diagnostic equipment
