What You’ll Do

The Licensed Mental Health Therapist is responsible for the following:

  • Building and maintaining relationships with program participants throughout the duration of their time in the program.
  • Maintaining regular contact with all current program participants (approximately 15 – 40 participants) and maintaining monthly contact with alumni
  • Conducting sessions with current program participants and alumni as needed
  • Providing group sessions to current program participants (approximately 3 times a month)
  • Maintaining participant files and providing resources to participants on an as-needed basis
  • Developing individual plans alongside participants to eliminate barriers in their lives

Salary: $70,000

  • Relationship-building: You develop and maintain strong, collaborative working relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders and can bring in partners from community resource organizations to collaboratively remove barriers to employment for participants.
  • Practice ethically & professionally: You practice maintaining ethical standards in all that you do and demonstrate professionalism every chance that you have. You have incredible time management skills. Your practice is orientated around measurable change in clients lives and usually involves SMART goals & skills building.
  • Outstanding Communication: You recognize that every participant is different, you may have some that need time to warm up to you, while some aren’t afraid to divulge their life story from the start. You understand that communication needs to be personalized to each participant and interpersonal skills go beyond the context of therapy itself. Also, you are aware of differences in ethnicity, culture, and background, and be self-aware of personal biases that may hinder or create barriers within the therapeutic relationship.
  • Inclusive leadership and management: You approach leadership with a mindset of “power with” rather than “power over” and regularly include others in decision-making. You have experience managing multiple projects and keeping tasks from slipping through the cracks. You use resources wisely.

Knowledge of workforce development and prior experience in the field are both plusses, but are not requirements.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 per year
