  • Position: Tax Supervisor
  • Location: Beverly Hills / Woodland Hills LA / La Jolla – CA
  • Job Type: Fulltime – Onsite 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage HRIS and Axcess timesheets; organize tasks using Excel.
  • Meet monthly and annual charge hour targets.
  • Review various forms and statements including Form 1099, sales tax returns, business property statements, and business licenses.
  • Oversee tax returns for C-Corporations, partnerships, S-Corporations, personal, non-profit, and trusts.
  • Provide corporate and personal tax planning reviews.
  • Maintain control lists and deadlines to ensure timely reporting and filing.
  • Support in tax audits.
  • Supervise and plan compilation, review, and audit tasks; prepare and review workpapers and financial statements.
  • Engage in mentorship programs.
  • Lead in-house training sessions and meetings; offer individualized feedback to staff.
  • Participate in recruiting and outreach events for potential clients.
  • Aid in billing by analyzing work-in-progress and calculating invoice totals.
  • Interact and consult with clients on services; assist with new client proposals and initial meetings.

 

Skills and Knowledge Requirements:

  • Comprehend tax form schedules, entity setups, formation and dissolution processes, retirement plans, foreign entity reporting, Section 1031 exchanges, basic foreign/multistate returns, and specialized tax credits.
  • Engage in continued education and contribute to developing in-house training programs.
  • Conduct intermediate research independently.
  • Proficient with accounting software such as CFS, AME, CSA, QuickBooks, T-Value, Adobe Acrobat, ProSystem Engagement, Checkpoint Tools, and Axcess Tax.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
