Shipping Logistics Specialist
1st Shift / M-F / 7am-4pm
$17
Greenville, SC (downtown area)

PrideStaff Greenville is seeking an experienced Shipping Logistics Specialist on behalf of our client in Greenville, SC.

The Shipping Logistics Specialist is the main point of contact for responsible for managing incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accurate documentation, dispatching, and maintaining inventory records. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a warehouse or distribution center environment and possess strong communication skills.
Shipping Logistics Specialist Responsibilities:

  • Receive incoming shipments and verify the accuracy of the contents
  • Schedule freight deliveries and arrange pickups of shipments and parcels.
  • Inspect packages for damage and report any discrepancies or issues
  • Unload and load trucks using a forklift or other equipment
  • Prepare shipping labels, packing slips, and other necessary documentation
  • Organize and maintain inventory in the warehouse
  • Perform regular cycle counts to ensure accurate stock levels
  • Collaborate with other departments to coordinate order fulfillment
  • Operate warehouse management systems (WMS) and other software tools
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment

Shipping Logistics Specialist Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in shipping and warehouse dispatch
  • 2 or more years of forklift experience
  • Basic math skills for inventory management and order tracking
  • Proficiency with inventory management systems
  • Ability to operate a forklift and other warehouse equipment safely
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
