Seeking an experienced Industrial Hygiene Technician to provide a comprehensive range of services. Excellent career opportunity.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Perform field sample collection including asbestos-containing materials, lead-based paint, indoor air quality, noise level measurements, and industrial hygiene (personal chemical exposure), heat stress, and other environmental samples.
  • Document all field work and prepare results in written format for review by senior staff.
  • Calibrate, maintain, and order equipment and supplies as required.
  • Assist with tasks of various scope with supervision from Project Manager or Supervisor; tasks include logging in field samples, becoming proficient with and understanding U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)/Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC) and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulatory requirements, data entry, performing basic QA/QC tasks, and assisting in report production.
  • Conduct basic calculations.
  • Keeps abreast of technology and current issues through training.
  • Interact with others and carry out all work-related activities in a manner which demonstrates a high level of professionalism.
  • The position will require the candidate to work both independently and on project teams, and to possess the capacity to manage multiple projects and multiple tasks to maintain project schedules.
  • Demonstrate a willingness to be supportive of and encouraging to other members of the organization.
  • Understand and use good safety and health and procedures.
  • Represent the company well to others. Provide external clients with prompt and effective service.
  • Safeguard and appropriately handle sensitive, confidential, or proprietary documents, data, and other information, written or oral.
  • Adapt rapidly and effectively to changing conditions both internal and external to the group.
  • Write clearly and concisely and presents data and arguments in an organized fashion, in a presentation directed to the client(s) and agencies.
  • Find and champion new and better ways to get things done.
  • Add value through level of contributions both within and outside the scope of daily responsibilities.

 

 

 

 

Requirements

 

1. 2 or more years of Environmental Field Work experience.

2. Environmental Certifications (Asbestos, EPA, HAZWOPER) preferred.
