Job DescriptionJob DescriptionLogistics Manager - Marietta, GA (onsite)US Cabinet Depot is a distributor of kitchen and bathroom RTA cabinets and have been in business for 12 years. We are looking for a talented and qualified logistics manager to join our team. In this position, you will be responsible for all supply chain management duties including selecting carriers, researching shipping methods, assessing budgets, and organizing storage.
The successful candidate must demonstrate strong attention to detail in order to oversee daily operations and logistics employees, shipping carriers. In addition to having excellent organizational skills, you should also possess in-depth knowledge of logistics and inventory systems.Job Responsibilities
  • Selecting 3PL carriers and negotiating contracts and rates
  • Planning and monitoring inbound and outgoing deliveries, warehouse transfers.
  • Supervising logistics, truckloads, transportation, shipping claims.
  • Organizing warehouse, label goods, plot routes, and process shipments.
  • Responding to any issues or complaints.
  • Researching ideal shipping techniques, routing, and carriers.
  • Working with other departments to incorporate logistics with company procedures and operations.
  • Evaluating budgets and expenditures.
  • Updating and evaluating metrics to assess performance and implement enhancements.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices to continuously improve the freight forwarding process.
  • Ensuring all operations adhere to laws, guidelines, and ISO requirements.
Required Skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with clients, suppliers, and carriers.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to manage multiple shipments and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Attention to detail to ensure accurate documentation and compliance with customs regulations.

  • Proficiency in logistics software and systems to track shipments and generate necessary documentation.
  • Strong knowledge of international trade regulations and customs requirements.

  • Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong negotiation skills to secure favorable rates and terms with carriers and suppliers.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team to achieve common goals.
Required Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent. A degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Previous experience in freight forwarding or logistics is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of international shipping documentation and customs clearance procedures.
  • Familiarity with shipping regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in computer systems and software used in logistics operations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in the English language. Proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to handle a fast-paced work environment and work with tight deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a team and collaborate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
