Senior Attorney specializing in Insurance Defense

About the Role:
We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Attorney specializing in Insurance Defense for our law firm in Las Vegas, NV. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of insurance laws and civil litigation, with an emphasis on defending insurance companies against claims. This role requires at least 5+ years of experience in a similar role.
Responsibilities:
1. Provide effective and innovative legal solutions to complex insurance defense matters.
2. Manage all aspects of litigation, including taking and defending depositions, hearings, trials, and mediations.
3. Effectively negotiate settlements including all aspects of liability and damages.
4. Attend court hearings in several different counties and courthouses.
5. Evaluate and provide a legal risk assessment to clients.
6. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and provide excellent client service.
7. Perform extensive legal research and drafting of pleadings, motions, and briefs.
8. Participate in firm marketing efforts, including networking and business development activities.
Qualifications:
1. Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. Admitted to practice in the State of Nevada.
3. A minimum of 5 years of experience in insurance defense litigation.
4. Proven track record of representing insurance companies in court.
5. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
8. Proficient in legal research software and Microsoft Office Suite.
9. Ability to manage a high case load, while ensuring all deadlines are met.
