Symbiotic Services, a prominent staffing firm, is on the hunt for a dedicated and skilled Ink Technician to join our team on behalf of a respected client in the Ink Department. This role is pivotal in maintaining and enhancing the processes involving ink, including ordering, mixing, testing, and enforcing process controls. You'll be at the forefront of process improvements by researching materials and information, ensuring high-quality decisions are made for optimal outcomes.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Taking charge of all aspects of the ink process: ordering, mixing, testing, and controlling to uphold quality standards.
  • Employing standard operating procedures with advanced ink dispensing equipment and software.
  • Maintaining inventory for inks, solvents, adhesives, and other supplies, ensuring smooth operation within the flexo departments.
  • Engaging in continuous improvement efforts to boost efficiency, quality, and repeatability in execution.
  • Playing a key role in color management, from recording formulas to mixing spot colors and providing proofs on various substrates.
  • Identifying and troubleshooting ink-related issues, making informed decisions on blending, material choices, or process adjustments.

You're a Match If:

  • You hold a high school diploma or GED, complemented by 2-3 years of relevant experience or an equivalent mix of education and experience.
  • Your expertise spans the flexographic printing process, color management software, and ink mixing equipment.
  • Exceptional visual skills for color are a must, and you should pass a Colorblind test.
  • You're proficient in Microsoft Office products and have a basic understanding of pre-press and printing processes.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to maintain a clean and organized work environment are essential.
