In addition to marketing its products across national brands and retailers of all sizes, we also work with residential and commercial designers, offering a direct to-the-trade online marketplace. It has also made e-commerce a revenue focus and succeeded in attracting major online players.  

At Four Hands we do everything from design, manufacture and distribute home furnishing products. While we are most well-known for being a leading global designer and wholesaler of lifestyle home furnishings, we provide much more than that.   

Our Technology team is looking for a skilled Web Developer to join our Web & E-Commerce team. This role will play a key part in refining our e-commerce site to ensure its reliability and impact on our business operations. The ideal person will have experience turning design mockups into functional front-end components and be comfortable working on back-end development for API and view creations. This role is instrumental in maintaining and enhancing the user experience, which is crucial to our company’s online presence. 

In This Role
  • Collaborate with designers and product managers to understand user needs and translate them into functional front-end components 
  • Develop and maintain reusable, responsive, and accessible UI components using Vue.js or a similar JavaScript framework (React, Angular, etc.) 
  • Implement front-end features and functionalities utilizing .NET Core technologies 
  • Occasionally develop back-end APIs and views using C# to support specific front-end needs 
  • Write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code that adheres to best practices 
  • Perform unit testing and participate in code reviews to ensure high-quality deliverables 
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest web development trends and technologies, including advancements in .NET and JavaScript frameworks 
  • Effectively communicate project progress and challenges with other team members 
  • Uphold the Core Values and be a valuable member of the Four Hands Team 
  • Other tasks as defined by Management 
This is a hybrid position based in Austin, TX
The Ideal Person
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience as a web developer with proficiency in both front-end and back-end development 
  • Strong understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (ES6+) 
  • Expertise in Vue.js or a similar JavaScript framework (React, Angular, etc.) 
  • Familiarity with .NET Framework and/or .NET Core concepts and development practices 
  • Experience with C# and object-oriented programming principles 
  • Understanding of RESTful APIs and API design principles 
  • Proficiency in at least one front-end build tool (webpack, Gulp etc.) 
  • Experience with version control systems (Git preferred) 
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously 
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills 
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills 
  • Passion for web development and a continuous learning mindset
