Position Overview:

We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities (IDD) Program Specialist to join our team. The IDD Program Specialist plays a crucial role in the overall management and supervision of the IDD Services Division, with a primary focus on training needs and Utilization Management related to Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities. This role involves developing and implementing training programs, ensuring the highest standards of quality assurance, and reviewing clinical appropriateness to meet licensure and Medicaid standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop division-level training curriculum and conduct training for new and existing employees.
  • Supervise treatment teams in implementing quality assurance standards.
  • Develop program-specific training as needed, with approval from the Clinical Services Administrator.
  • Oversee utilization reviews within the Division.
  • Develop a comprehensive quality management plan to ensure individuals receive the highest quality of care.
  • Coordinate In-Service and disability-related training from external agencies or programs.
  • Participate in and facilitate meetings, groups, and committees to identify ongoing training needs and compliance improvement.
  • Develop, consult, and revise policies and procedures related to training and compliance.
  • Monitor treatment regimens of cases, present review data, and make recommendations regarding treatment appropriateness and necessity.

Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities Program Specialist Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Human Services and three (3) years of clinical experience providing, counseling, crisis intervention, and case management functions to the Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities population.


The selected candidate must successfully pass a criminal history fingerprint background investigation, DMV record check, Child Registry search, drug screening test and employment reference checks.
