Duration: 6+ months

Interview Process: Skype/Phone

Visa Status: Only USC/GC Candidates

Job Description:

We are looking for a Sr. DevOps Engineer with a strong background in software development, to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a central figure in our DevOps practices, acting as the "glue" across multiple domains and lines of business that utilize DevOps technologies. This role requires a highly effective communicator, capable of guiding teams with varying degrees of DevOps familiarity towards a more integrated and efficient CI/CD pipeline environment.

Responsibilities:

  • CI/CD Pipeline Management: Assume control and continuous improvement of CI/CD pipelines across multiple lines of business. Ensure efficient, reliable, and scalable automation practices are implemented.
  • Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with Software Development Engineers in Test (SDETs) and performance engineering teams to educate and integrate DevOps practices into their workflows.
  • Dashboard Development: Design and set up comprehensive dashboards from scratch, providing clear visibility into the CI/CD pipelines, operational metrics, and system health.
  • Enterprise Solutions: Define and deliver enterprise-level solutions that enhance operational stability and automate deployments to production environments. Develop and promote standard operating procedures and policies for operational platforms within areas of responsibility.
  • Guidance and Leadership: Provide guidance to development and integration teams on best practices in DevOps, aiming to improve overall efficiency and system reliability.

Requirements:

  • Strong foundational experience in software development, with a clear understanding of the software development lifecycle and associated best practices.
  • Demonstrable experience in developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, with a focus on automation and visualization tools.
  • Proficiency in setting up and customizing dashboards for operational and performance monitoring.
  • Experience in defining and implementing enterprise solutions with a focus on operational stability and automated deployments.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to act as a mentor and guide to teams new to DevOps practices.
  • Familiarity with a variety of DevOps tools and technologies, with an ability to adapt and learn new processes as needed.

Note: Remote work is acceptable, provided the candidate can effectively work during West Coast business hours. This position requires a candidate who grew up on the software development side of things, rather than someone primarily experienced in networking or infrastructure.

We are looking for someone who can join our team and make an immediate impact through their expertise in DevOps practices, their ability to communicate effectively across different teams, and their dedication to improving our CI/CD pipelines and operational efficiencies. If you are a problem-solver with a passion for DevOps and a background in software development, we encourage you to apply.
