Job DescriptionJob DescriptionHeader-Blaster/Painter Night Shift See more jobsShareApply NOWHeader/Blaster Painter Night ShiftResponsibilities:Read work orders or receive instructions from supervisor regarding painting. Select premixed paints, or mixes required portions of pigment, oil, and thinning and drying substances to prepare paint that matches specified colors. Clean grease, rust, and dirt from product; washes surface prior to painting; may be required to blast parts to prepare for painting; apply masking tape over parts and areas that are not to be coated. Spread drop cloths over floors and cover surfaces that do not require paint with masking tape and paper to protect surfaces during painting. Pour coating liquid into spray container and connects gun to air hose; turn sprayer valves and nozzle to regulate width and pressure of spray. Install specified nozzles in spray guns. Replaces screens and filters; pull the trigger and directs spray onto work surface to apply prime or finish coat using enamel, polyurethane, epoxy, inorganic zinc, and other industrial paints; clean spraying equipment and brushes with solvent. Load and move materials to work and drying areas by industrial forklift, overhead and jib cranes.Requirements:
  1. Maintains production record of parts and jobs fabricated as required by the Department Manager.
  2. Set up ladders to perform tasks above ground level. Abrades surfaces of metal or hard composition objects to remove adhering scale, sand, paint, grease, tar, rust, and dirt, and to impart specified finish.
  3. Shovel or pours abrasives such as sand, grit, or shot of specified grade into machine hopper.
  4. Mask specified areas of object to protect from abrading action.
  5. Load parts on racks or in enclosed rooms manually or using industrial forklift or overhead cranes.
  6. Turn valves on equipment to regulate pressure and composition of abrasive mixture flowing through nozzle.
  7. Start equipment that directs blast or flow of abrasive laden compressed air, gas over surface of parts.
  8. Direct nozzle over surface of large parts and manipulates parts under nozzle for specified interval.
  9. Examine finished parts to ensure conformance to specifications.
  10. Maintains production record of parts and jobs fabricated as required by the Department Manager.
  11. Ability to assist painter in simple paint application. Ability to use and interpret DFT measuring equipment.
Qualifications:
  1. Minimum Five years related experience required. Must pass Pulmonary Test.
Hours:Ideal hours are 5 PM – 1:30 AM , Overtime may change the hours depending on production Pay:$20/HR
