The Academy Hotel, Colorado Springs is a family owned and operated full service hotel. We're known for our signature complimentary breakfast buffet and are looking for a friendly buffet cook that will make our guests experiences memorable.

Wages: $17.00 - $20.00 based on experience + tips.


Job Description | Responsibilities | Duties:

  • Assist with stocking, set-up and break-down of kitchen and buffet stations.
  • Assist with stocking, set-up and break-down of kitchen and buffet stations.
  • Inspect, clean, chop, portion, prepare and cook breakfast food items.
  • You will be cooking made to order omelets and eggs on the buffet line in front of the guests.
  • Food should be prepped and cooked according to the recipe guidelines.
  • Operate ovens, stoves, grills and fryers.
  • Clean kitchen and cooking utensils and storing equipment at end of shift..
  • Ensure kitchen operation procedures and hygiene meet food safety standards and regulations.
  • Stock inventory and leftover food properly.
  • Cook menu items with the cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff.
  • Ensure food comes out to the buffet line as needed.
  • Maintain a positive and professional approach with kitchen crew, servers and customers.
  • Regulate temperature of ovens, broilers and grills.
  • Minimize loss and waste.


Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience with knowledge of cooking and culinary techniques.
  • Able to work an early morning schedule, including weekends and holidays.
  • This is a full-time position. Breakfast is served daily 6am - 10am. The typical shift is 4am-11am.
  • Excellent customer service and team work skills is essential.
