The Information Technology Director North America has total responsibility for all business application systems, IT infrastructure, and projects that support the business units in North America. Scope of work includes business relationship management, staff management, project execution, strategy development, business support, operating and capital budgeting. The position plays the key role between the Global IT organization and the North American regional IT activities.
As IT Director North America, you report directly to our CEO of North America region, with a matrix link to our Group IT Director, based in the HQ in France.
You will have the capacity to develop your internal team, composed at the moment of 3 people in the USA & 3 people in Mexico, to handle ERP deployment and IS alignment on all plants (system, network, configuration), to reach the best standardization process possible.
As IT Director for the global region (North America), you will oversee all aspects of IT operations for our plants both in the USA and in Mexico (+12 plants).
More specifically, on a daily basis, you will be responsible for:
- Leads development and implementation processes for the organization’s IT systems and department.
- Develops and implements business continuity protocols to minimize disruption to business operations in the event of emergency situations or data loss.
- Establishes efficiency and efficacy standards, providing recommendations for improvement of IT infrastructure.
- Analyzes IT infrastructure and systems performance to assess operating costs, productivity levels, upgrade requirements, and other metrics and needs.
- Oversees security of systems, networks, and enterprise information.
- Facilitates IT security audits or investigations.
- Develops and maintains relationships with external IT vendors, service providers and external partners.
- Coordinates multisite IT systems via enterprise resource planning (ERP).
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- You have master’s degree preferred in IT, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience, and at least a first successful experience in a similar role.
- You have worked in the manufacturing industry, and enjoy working in an international context.
The ideal candidate has an experience managing multiple sites as it relates to IT.
You ideally have:
- An in-depth knowledge of Microsoft environment;
- Experience in handling global deployment projects,
- Proficiency in ERP & MES systems and tools, with experience implementing and managing those systems;
- A knack for research and staying up to date on current IT trends, developments, and computer security best practices.
- You speak fluent English, with a preferred second language (French or Spanish ideally).
- In addition to your obvious interpersonal skills, your situational intelligence, your curiosity and your rigor make you a recognized professional.
The position is role open to candidates within the USA or Mexico.
Standard office hours 8:00am - 5:00pm, with expecation of being available after hours via cell phone for urgent matters.
Must be available for travel as needed
