Responsibilities:

  1. DevOps Strategy and Roadmap: Define and drive the DevOps strategy and vision for the organization. Lead the development of comprehensive DevOps roadmaps, architectures, and frameworks aligned with business objectives and technology trends.

  2. Architecture and Design: Architect, design, and implement highly scalable, reliable, and secure DevOps solutions and infrastructure. Define and enforce architectural standards, best practices, and patterns across the organization.

  3. CI/CD Pipeline Engineering: Design, implement, and optimize end-to-end continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines. Define and enforce CI/CD best practices, standards, and governance frameworks.

  4. Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Drive the adoption of infrastructure as code (IaC) practices and principles. Architect and automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and management using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Chef.

  5. Cloud Architecture: Design and implement cloud-native architectures and solutions on platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Optimize cloud infrastructure for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.

  6. Containerization and Orchestration: Architect containerization and orchestration solutions using Docker and Kubernetes or other container orchestration platforms. Design and implement container-based solutions for microservices architectures.

  7. DevOps Toolchain Integration: Evaluate, select, and integrate DevOps tools and technologies to support development, operations, and automation workflows. Design and implement toolchain integrations and workflows to streamline development and operations processes.

  8. Security and Compliance: Define and implement security best practices and compliance standards for infrastructure and applications. Conduct security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration tests. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.

  9. Technical Leadership and Mentorship: Provide technical leadership and mentorship to members of the DevOps team. Set technical direction, establish best practices, and foster a culture of learning and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  1. Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications in DevOps, cloud computing, or related areas are highly desirable.

  2. Experience: Minimum of 10+ years of experience in DevOps roles, with a proven track record of designing and implementing complex DevOps solutions in enterprise environments.

  3. Technical Skills:

    • Expertise in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
    • Proficiency in CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or CircleCI.
    • Advanced knowledge of infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Chef.
    • Extensive experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
    • In-depth understanding of containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
    • Strong understanding of networking, security, and scalability concepts.

  4. Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to design and architect complex technical solutions.

  5. Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  6. Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and mentor cross-functional teams, drive successful outcomes, and foster a culture of collaboration and innovation.

  7. Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically and translate business requirements into technical solutions. Proven experience in developing and executing strategic initiatives and roadmaps.
