Job Title: Chief Executive Officer (CEO) - Major Teaching Hospital


Position Overview:

Our primary teaching hospital's Chief Executive Officer (CEO) provides strategic leadership and direction to ensure the hospital's overall success in delivering high-quality patient care, advancing medical education, and fostering groundbreaking research initiatives. As the top executive, the CEO oversees all aspects of hospital operations, maintains regulatory compliance, and drives organizational growth and innovation.


Primary Responsibilities:


  • Provide visionary leadership to align hospital operations with the institution's mission, vision, and values.
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to enhance patient care quality, safety, and satisfaction while promoting clinical excellence and innovation.
  • To support a positive work and learning environment and foster a culture of collaboration, diversity, and inclusion among hospital staff, faculty, and students.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders, including physicians, faculty members, community leaders, and healthcare partners.
  • Lead financial planning and budgeting processes to ensure fiscal responsibility and sustainability while maximizing revenue streams and minimizing expenses.
  • Oversee human resources management, including recruitment, retention, and professional development initiatives to attract and retain top talent.
  • Drive initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, optimize resource utilization, and improve clinical outcomes through data-driven decision-making and performance metrics.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, and legal obligations while promoting a culture of ethical behavior and integrity.
  • Champion patient-centered care initiatives, patient advocacy efforts, and community outreach programs to address healthcare disparities and promote population health.
  • Represent the hospital in local, regional, and national forums, advocating for healthcare policy reforms, research funding, and academic partnerships.


Qualifications:


  • Master's degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or a related field (required).
  • Minimum of 10 years of executive leadership experience in a complex healthcare organization, preferably in an academic or teaching hospital setting.
  • We have demonstrated a track record of strategic planning, organizational transformation, and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Strong business acumen, financial management skills, and experience with budgetary oversight.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence and inspire diverse stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and industry trends, with a commitment to quality and patient safety.
  • Experience fostering a culture of innovation, research, and academic excellence with a passion for medical education and training.
