Schedule
For your schedule we allow some flexibility and making a schedule that fits your life. We have days that we require individuals to be in the office, but if you are looking for more hours you have the flexibility of making your schedule work for you within our available days and hours. Saturday rotational preferred.

Monday-Saturday 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM
Optional shifts available from 11 AM to 7 PM
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Upholstery Sewer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sewing and assembling upholstery components to create high-quality furniture pieces. The Upholstery Sewer should have a strong understanding of different fabrics, sewing techniques, and upholstery materials. Attention to detail, precision, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment are essential for success in this role.
Responsibilities:
- Sewing Operations: Perform sewing operations to join, reinforce, or decorate upholstery components using industrial sewing machines.
- Pattern Matching: Ensure accurate pattern matching and alignment to achieve a seamless and aesthetically pleasing finished product.
- Material Selection: Identify and select appropriate fabrics, threads, and other materials based on design specifications and quality standards.
- Quality Control: Inspect finished products for defects, inconsistencies, and quality issues, making necessary adjustments and repairs as needed.
- Work with Design Specifications: Interpret and follow design specifications, blueprints, and work orders to produce upholstery items that meet or exceed customer expectations.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with other team members, including upholsterers, designers, and production staff, to ensure a smooth workflow and timely completion of projects.
- Machine Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on sewing machines to ensure optimal functionality and report any malfunctions or issues promptly.
- Efficiency: Work efficiently to meet production targets while maintaining high standards of craftsmanship and quality.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols to create a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work completed, materials used, and time spent on each project.
- Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Upholstery Sewer or similar role in a manufacturing setting.
- Proficiency in using industrial sewing machines (Juki DNU-154S) and other related equipment.
- Strong knowledge of different fabrics, materials, and sewing techniques such as welting and cording.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on producing high-quality work.
- Ability to interpret design specifications and work orders.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick, effective decisions.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Physical stamina and the ability to stand for extended periods.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
