This cooking position with our restaurant kitchen earns a competitive wage of $20.00 an hour based on experiene. We provide our full-time employees with excellent benefits, including health insurance, paid time off (PTO), a 401(k) with up to a 4% match after one year of employment, and life insurance. Founded in 1899, Austin Country Club is one of the oldest existing clubs in Texas and home to Harvey Penick, one of the greatest golf instructors who ever lived. As a private, family-oriented club that is rich in tradition, we are known for the quality of our membership and unmatched customer service that exceeds expectations. We are located along the banks of the Colorado River with Austin's iconic Pennybacker Bridge as our backdrop. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A MEN'S GRILL COOK

As a Men's Grill Cook in our restaurant kitchen, you play an essential role in delivering first-class cuisine to our members. With your exceptional cooking skills, you support your team by preparing a variety of premium culinary offerings while abiding by health and sanitation guidelines. You assemble all orders correctly and get them sent out to our members in a timely manner. Each day, you set up and break down our dining area as directed, ensuring that equipment and linens, as well as other necessary materials, are clean and in working order.

In addition, you communicate with your manager about any issues or concerns that arise and work to solve problems in an efficient manner. You attend and participate in all staff meetings and training as well as maintain a working knowledge of all things culinary to constantly improve in your position. Being part of a dedicated, harmonious team while doing what you love every day is why you thrive in this cooking position in our restaurant kitchen

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A MEN'S GRILL COOK

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ years of cooking experience
  • Ability to perform all basic and intermediate cooking tasks
  • Ability to work multiple stations in the kitchen

WORK SCHEDULE

This full-time culinary position with our restaurant kitchen works a flexible schedule of 7- to 8-hour shifts that include weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
