Job Description
As a Dentist assigned to the Correctional Department, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality dental care to incarcerated individuals. Under the supervision of the Supervising Dentist or designee, you will serve as the clinical leader of the Dental Assistant, ensuring that the services provided meet the dental necessity and effectively address the patient's needs.
 

Qualification Requirements:

  1. Minimum of twenty-four (24) continuous months of experience similar in scope to those defined herein in a public or private institution.
  2. Required licenses and/or certifications.
  3. Proficiency in the English language is necessary for effective communication with correctional staff.

Service Delivery Requirements:
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Providing dental services based on dental necessity and effective to protect life, prevent significant illness or disability, or alleviate severe pain
  • Ensuring all ordered dental services and proposed surgical procedures are scheduled consistent with the severity of the dental need
  • Delivering scheduled services at the designated time unless unavoidable circumstances occur
