Temp to Hire (Full Benefits start day on day 1, once hired within company)

$17 to start plus shift differential

Monday-Thurs Day Shift- 8pm-7am

Overtime Available

Summary:
As a Casting Production employee, you will be a crucial part of our team, responsible for the casting process of different grades of molten iron into sand molds at EEC. Your primary duties include preparing sand molds, adding alloys to the iron, monitoring temperatures, pouring iron into molds, and ensuring safety protocols are followed rigorously. This role demands attention to detail, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to work efficiently on the third shift. Successful candidates must be committed to completing production tasks and maintaining a safe work environment at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret and follow blueprints and specifications accurately
- Inspect, clean, and prepare molds for casting
- Use ladles to extract hot metal from the torpedo
- Monitor and record iron temperatures
- Pour iron into molds, skim slag, and add compounds for iron liquidity
- Collect iron samples and maintain casting records
- Perform additional tasks as needed in the Casting department
- Strictly adhere to housekeeping and safety standards, including wearing appropriate PPE
Minimum Qualifications:
- Demonstrated strong attendance record and reliability
- Capable of working at elevated heights
- Ability to meet physical demands of the role
- Comfortable working in high heat environments with hot metals
- Proficient in reading blueprints, spec sheets, and using a tape measure, or willingness to learn
- Openness to flexible work hours and mandatory overtime as needed
- Willingness to train and obtain certification for operating a crane
- Able to lift weights ranging from 30 to 60 pounds reliably
