Who We Need

As a Product Economist, you would partner with our Technical Product Manager to execute the product vision related to economics, environmental science, and data science/engineering. You will primarily work with our Data & Product Management teams to define and document requirements, and our Development team to build and deliver new data products or features. You must possess a unique blend of business, data, and technical savvy.

Requirements:

Primary Responsibilities
  • Partner with our Technical Product Manager to translate product strategy into detailed requirements, use cases, and prototypes.
  • Participate in the design and development of features and functionality for both new and existing data products.
  • Partner with Data & Product Management teams to define product strategy.
  • Liaise with the Economics and Data Team to translate, implement, and verify the Economic concepts and calculations throughout the product life cycle.
  • Define and establish criteria and test harnesses to assist our Quality Assurance team in integration and acceptance testing, and oversee the QA lifecycle for economic related features.
  • Support the Education Services team in the development of training, implementation material, and technical documentation.
Required Skills & Experience
  • Relevant experience in economics, either in a profession or in graduate level courses.
  • Demonstrable experience working with data (economic preferred) and data visualization.
  • Ability to document and communicate economic information into development ready instructions.
  • Critical thinking, problem solving, and willingness to roll up one’s sleeves to get the job done.
  • Remain flexible and be able to adapt to the changing business environment.
  • Skilled at working effectively with cross functional teams.
