DevOps Engineer

Job Description:

As a DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for bridging the gap between development and operations teams, automating and streamlining our build, test, and deployment pipelines, and ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of our cloud infrastructure. Key responsibilities include:

• Collaborating with software developers, system administrators, and other stakeholders to design and implement CI/CD pipelines for efficient and reliable software delivery.
• Automating provisioning, configuration, and management of cloud resources using infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
• Monitoring and optimizing the performance of our applications and infrastructure, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions to enhance efficiency and scalability.
• Implementing and maintaining robust security controls and compliance measures across the development, testing, and production environments.
• Troubleshooting and resolving infrastructure issues, including system outages, performance degradation, and security incidents, in a timely manner.
• Continuously evaluating new technologies, tools, and methodologies to improve our DevOps practices and streamline our development workflows.
• Providing technical guidance and support to development teams on best practices for code management, version control, and deployment strategies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience in a DevOps or similar role, with a strong understanding of software development lifecycle and agile methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, and proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java, Ruby, Go).
• Solid understanding of containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, or ECS.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or Travis CI, and version control systems like Git.
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, ELK Stack, or Grafana.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with team members and stakeholders at all levels.
