Job Summary:

As a Warehouse Lead at Banko Overhead Doors, your primary responsibility is to maintain a safe working environment while efficiently managing warehouse operations. Safety is the top priority, and you will be responsible for ensuring that all team members adhere to safety procedures and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Safety Compliance:

  • Maintain a safe working environment by ensuring proper stacking of carts, picking up trash, and keeping the floor clear of hazards.
  • Implement safety training for all warehouse team members, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, protective glasses, and steel-toe shoes.
  • Conduct regular inspections of equipment, including forklifts, and document findings in Auto-sist.
  • Enforce the "See something, say something" policy and report any safety violations promptly to the Division Manager.

2. Warehouse Management:

  • Oversee the proper storage and organization of all stock in the warehouse.
  • Ensure the warehouse floors remain unobstructed and implement proper lifting techniques.
  • Monitor the use of cell phones and earbuds, restricting usage to break and lunch times.
  • Uphold a clean and organized warehouse, performing daily tasks such as disposing of trash, conducting bi-weekly equipment inspections, and maintaining a labeled and itemized inventory.

3. Job Duties:

  • Document extra part requests and assist installers in loading materials safely.
  • Maintain a clean dock area and organize door stacks, shelved components, and other warehouse items.
  • Collaborate with warehouse associates during delivery trucks to ensure safe and timely unloading.
  • Pull loads for the next day's work, handle installer ticket check forms, and manage the return of materials using proper procedures.

4. Recovery Process:

  • Ensure all carts are stacked, stock products are put away correctly, and returned doors are properly tagged.
  • Conduct daily tasks such as down-stacking doors, restocking low inventory items, and disposing of trash.
  • Complete 100% put away of all items received on delivery days.

5. Unloading and Receiving Trucks:

  • Orchestrate the unloading process in collaboration with the Inventory and Purchasing Departments.
  • Organize doors, separate purchase-for doors, and ensure all materials are correctly labeled and stored.
  • Immediately report any damaged products, document with photos, and send information to Tampa for proper credit.

6. Inventory Control:

  • Work with the supply chain team to maintain an organized warehouse for bi-weekly cycle counts.
  • Ensure accurate reporting and notify the team of any issues promptly.

7. Daily Code of Conduct and Responsibilities:

  • Follow all company policies and maintain basic standards of conduct.
  • Address issues with the Division Manager privately and act as a role model for the team.
  • Report any violations promptly and adhere to the company's stance against discrimination and harassment.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in warehouse management.
  • Strong commitment to safety protocols.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
