Job Title: Experienced Concrete Finisher

Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Concrete Finisher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in working with concrete, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to perform a variety of tasks related to the preparation, pouring, and finishing of concrete surfaces.

Key Responsibilities:

• Concrete Preparation and Pouring:
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout and dimensions of structures.
  • Set forms and molds to ensure proper alignment and support for concrete structures.
  • Mix, pour, and spread concrete using hand tools and power equipment.
• Concrete Finishing:
  • Smooth and finish surfaces of poured concrete, such as floors, sidewalks, roads, and curbs.
  • Use a variety of tools and techniques, including trowels, screeds, floats, and power tools, to achieve desired finishes and textures.
  • Apply curing and sealing compounds to protect concrete surfaces.
• Surface Repair and Maintenance:
  • Repair and patch existing concrete structures by chipping out damaged areas and filling with fresh concrete.
  • Perform surface preparation tasks such as grinding, chipping, and sandblasting to ensure proper bonding of new concrete.
• Quality Control:
  • Inspect completed work for quality, accuracy, and compliance with specifications.
  • Ensure that all safety procedures and regulations are followed on job sites.
• Team Collaboration:
  • Work closely with project managers, foremen, and other team members to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Assist in the training and mentoring of junior concrete finishers and laborers.

Qualifications:

• Experience:
  • Proven experience as a concrete finisher or similar role within the construction industry.
  • Proven track record of successfully completing concrete finishing projects to high standards.
  • Strong understanding of concrete mixing ratios, curing processes, and finishing techniques.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in concrete finishing or related field.
• Experience with decorative concrete finishes, such as stamping, staining, and polishing.
