Laser Operator

LOOKING TO EARN SOME EXTRA $$ TO BUST INFLATION? Focus Manufacturing Services is seeking a CNC Laser Operator to join our PART-TIME SWING SHIFT team in Ogden, Utah.


The shift generally goes from 4:30 pm to 9:30 pm, but we will work with your schedule so you can work up to 25 hours M-TH in the afternoon/evening.


Pay for this position is dependent on the applicant's experience operating a laser. 


Job Description:


Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

· Loading and unloading of material and parts

· Operating controls of the Laser cutter

· Programming laser equipment

· Setting offsets

· Deburring and inspection of quality parts for conformance to requirements

· Ensuring all parts meet tight manufacturing requirements

· Read and interpret drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished products

· Maintaining and repair of the laser cutter.


Qualifications

· High school diploma or equivalent.

· Applicant needs to show strong mechanical skills.

· Having experience running CNC-based machines would be helpful as well as experience working in the fabrication industry.

· Strong math and blueprint reading skills.

· Knowledge of when and how to use calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring devices.

· Able to work independently, efficiently, and stay on task with minimal supervision.
