Student-Agriculture Worker

Brushwood Acre Farms is an agriculture and community-based organization committed to cultivating a sustainable and vibrant future for Amarillo. Our mission is to reduce the cost of transportation while providing our community with fresh, locally grown fruits and vegetables year-round. Together with our dedicated team, partners, and the Amarillo community, we will provide not only the residents of Amarillo, but the state of Texas with a consistent supply of fresh, locally grown fruits and vegetables that will create a healthier, more sustainable, and thriving community, where fresh produce is always within reach.

Brushwood Acre Farms is a hydroponic greenhouse operation offering student worker position(s).

Hydroponics (soilless growing) is an up and growing style. We are excited to provide
opportunities for students to work in an agricultural environment.
Please review the following responsibilities and qualifications

Responsibilities:
 Perform manual labor.
 Use hand pruners and snips.
 Use picking bags/buckets to harvest crops.
 Handle plants and plant care
 Other greenhouse operation tasks as needed
 Open to cross training

Qualifications:
 Keen interest in agriculture
 ability to take instruction and learn our growing practices
 Have good communication skills.
 Must be physically fit and have ability to stand, bend, and move for long periods
 Excellent hand-eye coordination.
