Body Shop Technician

Responsibilities:

Ensure an extraordinary client experience while creating client advocates. To perform all frame, metal repairs and interior repairs on collision damaged vehicles consigned to the Body Shop.

  • Operating knowledge in measuring systems Car-O-Liner.
  • Diagnose and repairs unibody structural damage.
  • Diagnose and repairs full frame vehicles.
  • Repair vehicles per estimate and according to manufacturer standards.
  • Check parts against estimate and ensure proper parts are ordered and received.
  • Prepare vehicles for body repair work.
  • Notify management of any additional repairs needed. Documents and additional parts and labor required to perform a satisfactory repair.
  • Notify management of any difficulties or problems that may prevent a quality job from being performed or cause a change in the promised time.
  • Maintain and wear all required safety and health personal equipment.
  • Replace/Repair body panels.
  • Remove and reinstall interiors.
  • Know and understand the Company’s Privacy and Information Security Policies and adhere to the requirements.
  • Attend department meetings.
  • Maintain clean work area.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and be on your feet for three or more hours at a time.

Qualifications:

  • Verifiable references
  • Certificate from Vocational School in Collision is a definite plus.
  • Working knowledge of all aspects of repairs for damaged vehicles including body work and when to replace or repair parts.
  • Ability to read and follow instructions on repair/estimate orders.
  • Other duties may be assigned by management.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be at least eighteen years of age.
