Utility Trailer Sales of Kansas City is seeking qualified technicians and entry-level technicians to work in our 18-bay shop in Kansas City, KS. We are the dealer for Utility Trailers, Clement Trailers, and Trailstar; while also performing complete repairs on dry van trailers, refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, and end dump trailers.Utility Trailer Sales of Kansas City is locally owned and operated by Kansas City Peterbilt. Experienced applicants must be capable of making quality repairs to the suspension, lighting /electrical system, air brake and ABS systems, steel and aluminum welding, and trailer body/structure and doors. The applicant must also possess the skills to perform accurate and complete preventive maintenance inspections, PMs, and annual DOT inspections. Training is available on specific air and electronic systems.\tStarting pay for qualified technicians starts at $25 per hour.
\tStarting pay for entry or apprentice-level technicians starts at $20 per hour.
Roles of a technician | Job Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
\tCommitment to Safety and Service Excellence.
\tPerform accurate and complete vehicle inspections (DOT, PM)
\tPerform air brake diagnostics, repairs, and inspections.
\tPerform ABS diagnostics and repairs utilizing a laptop diagnostic system
\tPerform floor, roof, door, and side panel repairs
\tPerform minor and major accident repairs
\tPerform electrical systems diagnostics and repairs
\tPerform air brake diagnostics and repairs
\tPerform wheel end repairs and adjustments
\tPerform aluminum and steel welding
\tPerform general repairs on trailer and trailer dollies
\tPerform PM maintenance accurately and efficiently
\tResponsible to adhere to all warranty policies and procedures
\tAbility to use electronic technical manuals and resources for diagnostics and repair
\tProvide accurate documentation on repair orders
