Midwest Refrigerated Services is a full-service 3PL company providing refrigerated logistics services for the food industry. Based in Milwaukee, WI, we operate the largest fresh 48 state LTL consolidation pool with more than 100+ trucks, and offer multiple sites with cooler, and air-conditioned storage, distribution and cross-docking services. We operate refrigerated and non-refrigerated warehouses for storage needs but also Value Added Services such as specialty packing, kitting and fulfillment needs. The Driver Manager/Dispatcher is directly responsible for all aspects of managing a group of over the road drivers and is accountable for resulting customer service, driver relations, home time and retention.

General Accountabilities include:

  • Plan, assign, & communicate loads
  • Account for customer/driver needs & DOT regulations
  • Maintain load status information timely & accurately
  • Investigate & resolve exceptions
  • Maximize utilization within the constraints of regulations
  • Accountable for fleet profitability

Skills Required:

  • Ability to work in a fast pace, stressful environment

Prerequisites:

  • Experience supervising independent contractor drivers (minimum of 2 years)
  • Experience using an automated TMS system (preferred)
  • Experience using Microsoft Office applications
