Mama's on the Half Shell, with locations in Baltimore and Owings Mills, MD, is looking to hire a full-time or part-time Restaurant Line Cook. Do you know your way around a kitchen? ABOUT MAMA'S ON THE HALF SHELL

In 2003, our opening day was the realization of five years of dreaming, discussing, and collecting. It is our hope that when our customers are with us, they feel welcomed into our home with open arms. There really is no average age at Mama's on the Half Shell, making our restaurant a true destination for great food and celebration. As native "Baltimoreans," we felt Baltimore needed a thoughtful, classic seafood restaurant. Our menu is important, but we also want our guests to come in and feel comfortable for any occasion, be it a business meeting, Sunday football, a birthday, an anniversary, or just some time out. Our restaurant is a place where you could "bring it or bring it down." We're the neighborhood bar that everyone wants to go to

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A RESTAURANT LINE COOK

As a Restaurant Line Cook, you are vital to the operations of our kitchen. Our chefs cultivate the kitchen, and the kitchen determines the experience our guests have at our restaurant Teamwork is the name of the game as you work alongside other cooks. You prepare and cook each dish according to our restaurant's quality standards, making sure to accommodate specific requests from customers if they want things added or removed from the dish. As you work, you keep your work areas clean and prioritize food safety standards. You love food and take pride in cooking delicious, high-quality dishes

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A RESTAURANT LINE COOK

  • 2+ years of relevant experience
  • Food handler's permit OR ability to acquire one

Are you organized and detail-oriented? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment? Are you flexible and adaptable? Can you effectively prioritize multiple tasks?
