Position: Behavioral Health- Licensed Mental Health Counselor
Reports to: Clinical Director or Clinical Supervisor
Employment Status: Full Time/ Part-Time Contractor position
Salary: Range $4,000-$8,000 per month depends on group home census and your availability to community cases
Summary: Images of Glory is looking for a dynamic FEMALE LMHC or equivalent to work with our human trafficked teenaged girls living in our group homes and community referrals received.
Responsibilities:
- Identify psychological, emotional, behavioral and/substance abuse issues
- Diagnose psychological, emotional, behavioral and/or substance disorders
- Develop and implement treatment plans and therapeutic processes
- Help clients define goals and plan action to achieve personal, social, educational and vocational development and adjustment
- Monitor client progress through regular sessions and treatment plan reviews
- Responsible for provision of therapy services as authorized in client treatment plans
- Ensures that all services to be provided are provided in accordance with ethical guidelines for mental health professionals
- Participates as a member of the clients treatment team, work cooperatively with other staff, agencies, and medical personnel who are working with the individual client and family
- Responsible for timely completion and documentation of all required service activities including but not limited to, assessments and treatment plans.
- Participate in ongoing clinical supervision with the Clinical Director or designee
- Responsible for ongoing contact with all service providers
- Advise Clinical Director or designee or other appropriate staff of any incidents and complete appropriate documentation in the appropriate time frame
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures
- Attend all staff meetings and training as assigned.
- Accurately record time worked and submit timesheets in a timely manner
- Perform other job duties as required
- Have own personal equipment to perform job functions (i.e. computer)
- Maintain professional liability insurance
Skill Requirements:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent relational skills
EMDR certification and/or training
CBT/DBT therapy
Qualifications, Education and Experience:
- Must have and maintain a good standing and active Florida licensure with the Florida Board of Clinical Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy and Mental Health Counseling OR
- Masters Degree or higher from an accredited college or university in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy or Mental Health Counseling
- At least three years of professional experience in providing services to persons with behavioral health disorders and experience working with HT victims is a plus
- Must have certifications and/or training in EMDR with experience in application
- Must be knowledgeable in the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of the individuals with mental health and/or substance abuse disorders
- Experience in providing individual, family and group therapy
- Training in substance use disorders is a plus.
