Position Overview
As an Accounting & Inventory Specialist, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records and overseeing inventory management processes. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless coordination between accounting and inventory functions, providing valuable insights to drive informed decision-making and optimize operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoice processing, reconciliation, and timely payment processing
- Conduct regular audits of financial transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards
- Collaborate with procurement and operations teams to monitor inventory levels, track stock movements, and reconcile discrepancies.
- Implement and maintain inventory control procedures to minimize shrinkage and optimize inventory turnover
- Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and internal controls
- Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in accounting and inventory management to continuously improve processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
- Proven experience in accounting and inventory management roles, preferably in a fast-paced environment
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations
- Proficiency in accounting software, such as Quickbooks, SAP, etc. and ERP systems, such as Mysis, etc.
- Excellent analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across departments
- Highly organized with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment
- Adaptability and willingness to embrace change and drive process improvements.
