Location: Phoenix, AZ

Schedule: Flexible with WFH 1 day/week

Salary: DOE ~$90-105K plus bonus, equity and benefits

Position Overview: This is a newly created role within FRM, offering an exciting opportunity for a Senior Financial Auditor. As part of the team, you will play a critical role in the REI SOX program, combining hands-on experience with change management, problem-solving techniques, and a commitment to delivering results and quality in alignment with professional standards.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Contribute to REI financial reporting risk and control activities, focusing on the SOX framework.
  • Support the development of a risk-based approach for REI financial risk and controls, leveraging technical accounting and industry experience.
  • Assist in the implementation of standardized and optimized REI financial reporting risk identification, assessment, and controls.
  • Contribute to providing independent and objective assurance to finance management regarding the design and operating effectiveness of REIs SOX Controls.
  • Collaborate on processes, enhance capabilities, and implement technology solutions to contribute to the transformation of FRM into a scalable and agile function for future growth.
  • Ensure adherence to principles, policies, and standards, with a focus on improving quality in a cost-effective manner.
  • Foster a results-oriented and business partner mindset with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support professional relationships with auditors/advisors and participate in coordinating SOX compliance activities with external auditors.
  • Participate in ad hoc requests and special projects as required by the FRM leadership team.


Team Contribution:


  • Collaborate with the SOX team, providing support in on-the-job training.
  • Engage in communications, problem resolution, and provide feedback within the team.
  • Contribute to fostering a positive work environment and support teams in planning, execution, and reporting phases of audits or special projects, following FRM leadership team guidelines.


Professional Experience/Qualifications:


  • 2+ years of recent experience in SOX, with a strong understanding of US GAAP and audit procedures.
  • Have a CPA, CIA, CISA, CFE or actively pursuing the license(s).
  • Exhibit knowledge of the investment management and development services industry, including applicable accounting standards.
  • Navigate and adapt to environments of transformation, change, and disruption.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical capabilities, process improvement, and organizational skills.
  • Display excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to multitask, work independently, and collaboratively as part of a team with a positive and professional attitude.
  • Show a track record of contributing to audit teams and managing tasks in complex projects.
