Accertify is growing, and we are looking to add a Scrum Master to our global fraud-fighting team.
How will you make an impact in this role?
The Scrum Master will play a crucial role in facilitating agile events and ensuring that agile best practices are followed at Accertify. This individual should be an expert in Agile methodology, able to educate, guide, and foster a collaborative team environment. They will work to promote continuous improvement and self-organization to support the Product-Development team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate quarterly planning sessions across the various teams that participate within the release to identify and document key objectives, risks, and dependencies
- Support iteration execution by facilitating agile events, including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-Ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
- Assist the Product Management team by creating and maintaining user stories where necessary, and assisting in maintaining a prioritized backlog
- Guide the team and organization on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and values.
- Coach the team in self-organization and cross-functionality.
- Remove impediments or guide the team to remove impediments by finding the right personnel to remove the impediment.
- Build a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged.
- Facilitate discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution.
- Assist with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and radiating information.
- Consistently maintain quarterly roadmaps, Kanban, and sprint boards.
- Assist with the coordination of the deployment activities across our Release Team by building and maintaining runbooks.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Scrum Master in a software development team or relevant industry.
- Knowledge of various well-documented patterns and techniques for filling in the intentional gaps left in the Scrum approach (e.g., numerous Burndown techniques, various Retrospective formats, handling bugs, etc.).
- Excellent communication and mentoring skills.
- Champion of continuous improvement throughout the department with a servant leadership approach.
- Facilitates a strong sense of situational awareness, conflict resolution, and transparency.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Strong project management, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification or equivalent preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
