Roles and Responsibilities:
- Data Collection and Analysis: Gather, process, and analyze financial data from various sources, including databases, spreadsheets, and financial reports.
- Financial Modeling: Develop and maintain financial models, forecasts, and dashboards to support financial planning, budgeting, and performance analysis.
- Data Interpretation: Interpret and present financial data and trends to senior management, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to support decision-making.
- Performance Analysis: Conduct variance analysis, trend analysis, and profitability analysis to identify key drivers and opportunities for improvement.
- Reporting: Prepare and deliver clear and concise financial reports, presentations, and visualizations to communicate insights and recommendations effectively.
- Forecasting and Budgeting: Assist in financial forecasting, budgeting, and strategic planning processes, providing insights into revenue projections and cost management.
- Ad hoc Analysis: Perform ad hoc financial analysis and special projects as requested by management or stakeholders to address specific business needs.
- Data Quality Assurance: Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency in financial databases and reporting systems.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with finance teams, IT departments, and business units to enhance data collection processes, system improvements, and reporting capabilities.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and efficiencies in financial data analysis and reporting.
Skills Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field (Master's degree or relevant certifications such as CFA, CPA, or Data Analyst certifications preferred).
- Proven experience as a Financial Data Analyst, Business Analyst, or in a similar role with a focus on financial analysis and data interpretation.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in financial modeling, statistical analysis, and data visualization tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Tableau, Power BI).
- Knowledge of financial principles, accounting standards, and financial reporting requirements (GAAP/IFRS).
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial data analysis and reporting.
- Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex data into understandable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
- Problem-solving mindset and ability to work independently or collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ethical standards and integrity in handling confidential financial information and sensitive data.
