Summary:

Primary Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Continually promote bank products and services to customers and prospects for expanded business and referrals.
  • Initiate and maintain customer contact through a variety of methods. Including but not limited to customer interaction in the branch, on the phone, in written communication, and by attending various customer visits and community events.
  • Actively participate in regular sales and office staff meetings, and other motivational activities.
  • Establish good relationships with other departments to ensure these goals are met.
  • Consistently meet or exceed established referral goals as set by management.
  • Meets exceptional customer service standards when working with customers on the phone or in person.
  • Handles all transactions and performs duties in accordance with bank policies.
  • Follows security procedures according to bank guidelines.
  • Complies with all federal, state and bank regulations/laws as appropriate for the job function.
  • May perform a variety of other branch duties and teller services as needed.
  • Opens new accounts including checking, saving, CD’s, and safe deposit boxes as applicable.
  • Pursue ongoing education of First National products, services and lines of business.
  • Exhibits a high level of professionalism and confidentiality at all times.
  • Actively uses online banking and other electronic banking services.
  • Expert regarding online banking, bill pay, and mobile baking services.
  • Good knowledge of retail products offered at The First and ability to produce necessary documents as appropriate.
  • Demonstrate ability to identify opportunities to cross-sell new and existing services and to make referrals to other departments.

Position Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Previous customer service experience preferred
  • Cash handling experience preferred
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
