Job DescriptionJob DescriptionInfraHire is looking for a Manfacturing Engineer/ CNC Programmer in Muskegon, MI.

Job Description:
  • Create optimized machining processes and CNC programs for mills and lathes using Mastercam to introduce new parts or improve existing processes, including fourth axis machining and live tooling.
  • These processes will include CNC machine operations, work holding fixtures, tooling, and cutting programs.
  • Design a robust CNC/manufacturing process that achieves all internal and external safety, quality, timing, and cost objectives.
  • Measure parts, tooling, and fixtures as needed to support new part launches, troubleshoot issues, and document that parts are manufactured to specifications.
  • Provide timely updates, address concerns, and share resolution plans with engineering, production, program management, quality, and leadership teams.
  • Develop a process/program capable of consistently manufacturing parts that meet customer requirements for testing specifications, tolerances, and statistical capabilities.
  • Collaborate with the internal team to establish machining cycle times and tool usage, developing costs to support new part quotes or continuous improvements.
  • If necessary, collaborate with CNC suppliers to enhance their processes.
  • Utilize controlled CAD data and specifications.

Qualifications:

  • 10 years of experience as a Manufacturing Engineer and skilled CNC Programmer in a mid to high volume repetitive manufacturing environment. This includes experience in operating and setting up new parts, selecting the appropriate tooling, and designing work holding fixtures to optimize productivity.
  • Advanced knowledge of G & M codes, machine processes, and controllers, with the capability to program both online and offline.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting product drawings, with a strong understanding of GD&T and experience working with 3D models.
