Clearwater, United States Enumerate Full time
Job DescriptionJob Description

Enumerate is looking for an Engineering Architect to join our team

As an Architect on the Enumerate technical team, you will drive impact around feature quality and execution from concept to release.

A challenge we are facing is a good product platform built seven years ago that needs a bit of work. There’s some tech debt, but a lot of good thought processes were used when it was being built. However, this was before Kubernetes and Docker. So, as we look forward to growing our customer base by 300%, we are asking, “How do we take this platform into a serverless solution that can scale?”

We don’t need an Architect that’s been doing it for 3-5 years. We are open to different backgrounds. If you are a Senior Engineer or in DevOps looking to transition to an Architect role, reach out - you could be a great fit If you like the idea of joining a company in transition, getting to drive and lead a technology restructuring and putting your thumbprint on the change here, this is the place for you

This is a Director level role reporting directly to the Chief Information Officer. You will work closely with the Director of Development and Platform Director to find solutions for the team. This is full-time salaried role with a salary range of 130-180k, depending on experience. This role is remote eligible with preference for candidates in EST/CST.

Who will love this job

  • Someone who feels balanced between being a developer and knowing AWS services, which means you know the services, can build and deploy them. You do not need to be a traditional server admin, but more of a platform person with AWS or Azure with a programming background.

  • Someone who is always asking themselves, “How do I build scalable, reliable and secure solutions that limit the need for code?"

What you’ll do

  • Strategize and Assist

  • Assist in the strategic direction of our products & services taking into account emerging and legacy technologies.

  • Collaboratively develop schedules to ensure timely project completion.

  • Provide end-to-end architecture advisement for interoperable products.

  • Assist in critical support issues.

  • Assist the Director of Engineering in budgeting and resource planning.

  • Develop and Design

  • Write and deliver clean and healthy structured, well tested/documented code.

  • Contribute architecture, code and project deliverables as required.

  • Document and Train

  • Establish, train, and monitor code quality standards and execution best practices of team members.

  • Document processes and create engineer centric systems and training materials.

  • Train and coach platform and engineering teams to follow established protocols.

You should have

In order of importance, these are our key technical needs:

  1. You are solutions oriented – not just development. You are asking yourself, “How do I build scalable, reliable and secure solutions that limit the need for code? How do I make the engineering teams job easier?” You can get a solution out without spending a ton of the engineering team’s time.

  1. You were a developer with .Net and C#, as Enumerate is a .NET shop. You should be comfortable interpreting the basic logic of most coding languages.

  1. You have knowledge with new technologies like Kubernetes, Docker, and/or serverless technologies.

Other characteristics we need:

  • Approachable, with an enthusiastic and motivational nature and an overall passion for excellence

  • Proactive and highly organized, with strong time management and planning skills

  • Able to meet tight deadlines and remain calm under pressure

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Willingness to travel less than 5% of the time, mostly for team meetings

  • Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship.
