Program: Connections Program (Serving Students with Autism, Grades 1-6)
Location: LaGrange Park, IL
Start Date: August 19, 2024
Schedule:
- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 8:15 AM - 3:15 PM
- Wednesday: 8:15 AM - 4:30 PM (Professional development from 2:30 PM - 4:30 PM)
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations to determine students' occupational needs and areas for growth.
- Deliver direct and indirect occupational therapy services to students.
- Collaborate with case managers to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
- Work alongside an interdisciplinary team and classroom teachers to address students’ therapy needs.
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
- Provide training and support to staff and the community regarding occupational therapy and related areas.
Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Eligibility for IDFPR licensure in Illinois.
- Eligibility for a Professional Educator License (PEL) in Illinois.
- Preferred experience working in a K-12 educational setting.
