The CNC Trumpf Fiber Laser Operator is the interface between engineering and fabrication. You receive engineering documentation and new product designs. You review and make the necessary programs to manufacture the new or modified parts. You work with fabrication personnel to ensure the correct capabilities are in place.

The CNC Trumpf Fiber Laser Operator  will also be responsible for the selection and purchasing of tooling used on the Laser and will become a "go-to" person for tooling and also oversee preventative maintenance on the machine. Will ensure all drawings are correct and match the programming and also ensure that the correct type and amount of materials are in the job orders and purchasing of tooling used on Trumpf Fiber Laser.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Receives and processes programming information for fabricated parts
  • Works closely with manufacturing personnel
  • Generates program codes using computer-aided-manufacturing (CAM) software
  • Review CAD models and/or drawings
  • Conduct testing and correct/improve program code to increase efficiency, quality, safety, and sheet metal utilization
  • Manage machine tooling
  • Enter routing for all newly released models, sub-assemblies, weld assemblies, and fabricated parts
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
  • Trade school degree preferred, but not required
  • 2+ years’ experience in manufacturing environment preferred
  • Strong organizational and communication skills a must
  • Must be extremely organized and detail oriented
  • Familiarity in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PPT) required
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with Trumpf Fiber Laser laser
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
  • Experience in design, architectural products or sheet metal
  • CAD drawing experience.
  • Knowledge of MRP/ERP system

All candidates must have reliable transportation, must be able to lift/carry up to 50lbs, and be able to work 10 hour shifts Monday through Thursday, 3:00pm to 1:30am, plus any needed overtime.
