We are seeking a Chief Product & Technology Officer, a senior leader who is responsible for designing our platform, product and technical strategy and building a world-class engineering team to deliver high-quality products that customers love. You’ll get to work with passionate teams that educate and entertain with compelling content and world-class video production facilities. And lead teams that drive what’s possible in real world labs, assessment technology and SaaS learning delivery platforms.

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer and part of the company’s Executive Leadership Team, you will work on all aspects of our Product and Technical efforts — strategic planning, roadmap creation, engineering processes and developing a world-class engineering team. This is a critical role for ACI Learning’s growth – you get to create and execute.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architect ACI Learning’s product and technical strategy including multi-release roadmaps, feature design and engineering delivery to ensure it aligns with ACI’s customer focus and business goals. You will also be responsible for selecting the technologies we use to accomplish these goals.
  • Build a world-class and highly accountable product team that is extremely capable of shipping high-quality products customers love on time. You’ll do this through a combination of coaching, hiring, culture and a focus on product team productivity.
  • Identify and implement best practices, processes, and tools to streamline product development, increase productivity, and enhance product execution.
  • Drive data-driven decision making by establishing and maintaining robust engineering analytics and reporting frameworks, providing insights to continually optimize product team performance and ROI.
  • Build systems to continually Integrate customer feedback and product usage analytics to enable data-driven decision making for our product investments.
  • Partner with Marketing and Sales to ensure they understand our product roadmaps so they can do an amazing job of taking them to market.
  • Manage relationships with external engineering service agencies, ensuring effective and efficient support and cost management.
  • Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and dynamic dashboards to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of marketing programs and campaigns.

What’ll You need (Requirements)

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required.
  • Hands-on experience shipping multiple versions of enterprise SaaS products for business customers.
  • Hands-on experience writing software code is strongly preferred.
  • 15+ years of experience in software development or a related field, with a substantial portion in a leadership or managerial role.
  • Experience managing managers of teams in multiple product disciplines including software development, dev ops, product management and QA engineering is required.
  • Demonstrated experience in strategic planning, goal setting, and policy implementation within a software development environment.
  • Experience in effectively managing relationships with external development agencies to integrate their work with the Product Team is required.

Strong candidates will also possess

  • An advanced degree (e.g., MBA or Master's in a technical field) is preferred.
  • Experience developing on-demand educational content, assessments and leading global video production for technical customers is a plus.
  • Experience in doing acquisition technology diligence and integration is a significant plus.
  • Experience in developing global ecommerce solutions for businesses and consumers is a plus.

  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
