The Millwork Engineer is to provide accurate and detailed programs, shop drawings, and submittals utilizing Microvellum and AutoCAD, in addition to providing support to the Production and the Project Management team across multiple projects.

 

Responsibilities:
• Design high end millwork in Microvellum and AutoCAD under direction of the Production Manager and Project Manager.
• Understand architectural blueprints and plans to translate into full architectural millwork shop drawings for submittal and production purposes.
• Communicate with clients, architects, general contractors and on-site trades to coordinate all details of a project.
• Proficiency in fabrication techniques for custom architectural millwork, cabinetry, furniture.
• Knowledge of all the materials and hardware used to manufacture the approved scope of work
• Motivated & organized with great communication skills.
• Meticulous attention to detail.
• Work in the shop as required gaining familiarity/expertise with processes, products and machinery.

Required Skills and Abilities:
• Proficiency in Microvellum
• Proficiency in 2D and 3D AutoCAD
• Extensive knowledge in CNC Programming and Tooling
• Knowledge of custom millwork construction to AWI standards
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including intermediate Excel skills
• Strong time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Ability to work on a deadline driven schedule
• Ability to work under pressure
• Extremely detail-oriented.
• Ability to read, understand, and execute blueprints, drawings, and plans.
• Thorough understanding of quality building practices.
