Job DescriptionJob Description Experienced Maintenance Mechanic Needed
We are currently seeking an experienced mechanic to join a manufacturing team here in Conover, NC The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machine repair and maintenance, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for delivering high-quality workmanship. As a mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing various machine issues, performing routine maintenance tasks, and ensuring that all work is completed efficiently and accurately.
Responsibilities:
  • Will analyze and repair equipment problems involving mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and other power sources.
  • Will analyze basic electrical problems involving PLCs, motion control devices, sensors, and other items.
  • Engineering functions with process improvements and advanced troubleshooting.
  • Will complete preventative maintenance lists, work orders and inventory of repair parts.
  • Transport parts using forklift. Such as metal parts for machine and equipment repairs.
  • You will set up mills and lathes and use test equipment. Heat treating and/or welding parts.
  • Assist in maintaining inventory of parts.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:
  • Must have a HS Diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be able to use calipers, micrometers, tape measures, drill press, welders, grinders, torches, and general maintenance tools, etc.
  • Must be able to work overtime when needed.
  • Heavy lifting is required.
  • Forklift experience is required.
  • Must have experience in electrical, control wiring, drives, and PLCs.
  • An electrical license preferred, but strong electrical background is required.
  • Must be able to work 12-hour shifts.
  • Must be able to work in hot/cold temperatures.
