Position Summary:

The Cybersecurity and Information Assurance (IA) Engineer protects critical program information, assess critical technologies required protection, Software Assurance (SWA) sensitivity analyses, aircraft system architectures, on-board communication protocols, program specific capabilities, threats/vulnerabilities, and critical program information.

Essential Functions:

  • As required, function as the Information Security System Manager (ISSM)
  • Penetration Testing
  • Software Assurance Sensitivity Analysis
  • Evaluate Aircraft System Architectures
  • Evaluate the on-board communications protocols
  • Assess system threats and vulnerabilities

Other Functions:

  • Other duties assigned by supervisor/manager

Working Conditions:

Office conditions. Travel and/or field work as required by contract

Work Hours:

As Assigned by supervisor/manager

Equipment/Technology Used (Other than Standard Office Equipment):

Equipment as needed to support engineering efforts.

Physical Demands:

Able to sit for long periods of time. Able to travel and/or work outside of office conditions as required.

Mental Demands:

Able to perform all tasks as required by contractor or supervisor. Able to multi-task.

Communication Demands:

Able to communicate (i.e., verbal and written) with all levels of personnel both internally and externally.

Minimum Qualification Requirements (In Addition to Physical, Mental, and Communication Demands Listed Above):

Education:

BS or MS degree in Cyber Security

Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years Risk Assessments
  • Minimum 3 years Hardware and Memory Architectural Analysis
  • Minimum 3 years Cybersecurity Impact Evaluation
  • Minimum 3 years Critical Program Information Identification
  • Minimum 3 years Counter Intelligence Support Planning
  • Minimum 3 years Cybersecurity Strategies
  • Minimum 3 years Microsoft Office applications; such as, Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Minimum 3 years Windows OS Experience.

Skills/Knowledge:

  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.

Certifications:

  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) preferred.
  • Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) preferred.
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) preferred.
  • Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP) preferred.
  • Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) preferred.

Security Clearance Requirements

  • SECRET level clearance within 5 years. Active TS preferred.
