Job DescriptionJob DescriptionDescriptionXactra Technologies is looking for CNC Turning and Milling Setup/Operator(s) to add to our 1st and 2nd shift staff. Xactra Technologies has been in business for 43 years and is a high-performance manufacturing facility supplying custom, high precision mechanical components and assemblies to the optical industry. 

(1st shift Monday through Thursday 6am to 4:30pm with overtime available on Friday from 6am to 11am. 2nd shift Monday through Thursday 3:30pm to 2am with overtime available on Friday from 11am to 4pm).

Key Responsibilities
  • Setup/Operate Multi-Axis Mill Turns and/or Vertical/Horizontal Milling machines.
  • Load fixture in machine with blank parts to be machined or a machined part for one (1) of the part specific operations which would be noted on job router.
  • Utilize measuring devices to accurately measure part characteristics to ensure they meet within part conformance requirements, document measurements on inspection documents.
  • Seek supervisory help if machine fails, measurements get completely outside limits.
  • Document on router production, quality & scrap counts daily.
  • Check to make sure Coolant or Oil levels are at proper function levels.


Skills Knowledge and Expertise
  • CNC machining experience in turning or milling.
  • Optical Industry experience preferred but not required.
  • Ability to read GD&T Code
  • Ability to use all measuring tools.
  • Materials experience: Aluminum, Stainless Steel, Brass, and Plastics.
